Tools of The Trade
Here you will find a lot of the tools I use on a daily basis
I use shears to cut the paper to size
I use a plumb line to get a straight line on the wall prior to hanging the wallpaper.
I use the wooden seam roller to flatten seams on normal wallpapers.
I use the soft seam roller to flatten the seams of papers that have a crushable pattern.
Rather than use a paste brush and bucket I use a scuttle and a roller which is much quicker and easier to use.
Used to dust down paintwork prior to painting...
Used for filling cracks, tops of skirtings etc. This particular one is a 1 hour cure and is quite cheap to buy. normally around £1/1.50 per tube once dry it can be painted over.
A 9" Hanging Brush which I use for smoothing down the wallpaper.
I use the trimming knife to trim the tops and bottoms of the wall paper, the blades in the knife shown are teflon coated and stay sharp longer.
A straight edge can be used for a number things but this one is used as a guide when achieving straight cuts in the paper. It is 600mm long meaning it it over reaches a standard width wall covering.
